Medication details

Tamsulosin 400mcg MR capsules are a medication used to treat the symptoms of an enlarged prostate. The controlled release formula ensures that the active ingredient is released slowly over time, providing long-lasting relief. Tamsulosin works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and bladder, allowing for easier urination. It is important to take Tamsulosin as directed by your doctor and to attend regular check-ups to monitor your condition. As with all medications, there may be some side effects, but these are usually mild and temporary. If you experience any severe side effects or have concerns about taking Tamsulosin, talk to your doctor or get in touch to speak with one of our pharmacists.

To ensure optimal results and safety, adhere to the following guidelines:
Take one capsule daily, after breakfast or the first daily meal.
Swallow the capsule whole, while seated or standing, and with a glass of water. Refrain from crushing, chewing, or opening the capsule.

Each tamsulosin capsule contains 400 micrograms of tamsulosin hydrochloride. Additional components include cellulose microcrystalline, metacrylic acid – ethyl acrylate copolymer dispersion, dibutyl sebacate, colloidal hydrous silica, polysorbate 80, calcium stearate, gelatin, titanium dioxide, iron oxides, and indigotine – FD&C Blue 2.
